Made from the same softly shimmering fabric that shifts subtly between lavender, blue and pink, this new VandaMod design brings a fresh interpretation to the mermaid silhouette. The fabric catches the light as you move, while the sculpted construction creates a graceful shape through the body before opening into a distinctive mermaid tail.

What makes this design particularly special is the way the mermaid tail is constructed. Rather than simply flaring from one point, the lower silhouette is shaped to create movement and visual interest from different angles. As you walk, the fabric opens and moves around you, giving the gown-like silhouette a sense of fluidity without losing its elegant structure.

The neckline offers another element of versatility. The fine strap can be styled across the front as shown, or moved behind the neck for a cleaner, more open neckline when you want the silhouette to feel simpler and more elongated.

At the back, a V-shaped opening with lace-up detailing adds an unexpected finishing touch, while the side zip keeps the overall construction clean.

I wanted to create a mermaid silhouette that felt different from the usual way of making a mermaid tail. The idea was to make the lower part interesting not only from the front, but from different angles as the woman moves. The fabric was perfect for this because its lavender, blue and pink tones change subtly with the light. I also wanted to give her another choice around the neckline - she can wear the strap across the front for more detail, or move it behind the neck for a cleaner line.
